Activities and Attractions to do in Columbus

  • Enjoy a game of baseball at the Huntington Park. Some website eulogized this place as “in Huntington the hot dogs are juicier, the grass is greener, and the bases are loaded”. Enjoy the favorite American pastime on bleacher seats for as low as $6 and enjoy the match.
  • This German Village is home to some delectable sausage, cream puffs and schnitzel; Schmidt’s Restaurant and Sausage Haus is the place to look out for these stuff. You can also take a walk in the nearby Schiller Park. The European aesthetic of the locality make it one of the most appealing places in Columbus.
  • The Franklin Park Conservatory is filled with flora and fauna, and even Chihuly glass. Quite a number of exhibitions are planned throughout the year, which is arrayed in theme from of “Blooms and Butterflies” to “Savage Plants”. The twists and turns in the alleyways and popping out on a roof top provide a sense of adventure.
  • The open-air shopping district Easton Town Center hosts stores like Nordstrom, barrel and Coach and Crate. The district is also home to a farmers market from June and September. There are a number of restaurants like Smith & Wollensky and Mitchell’s Ocean Club which fill you with some of the most delicious food of the state.
  • This Ohio State Fair starts from late July through early August which is one of Columbus’ most popular events. Chiefly it’s a colossal fair inclusive of a Ferris wheel and cotton candy, fashion and draft horse competitions. Celebrities often perform at this annual party. Try not to miss it.
  • The Center of Science and Study museum features an assortment of interactive exhibits mean for all. From a dinosaur show with animatronic dinosaurs to the Lily Pad, which is a bilateral laboratory; the Center of Science and Industry is crammed with lots and lots of interesting things to do.
  • The downtown Arena District is the premier entertainment district in Columbus. Here you are entitled to an access to everything; from ice skating to sipping cocktails at a competing piano bar, or going for a blockbuster movie. It is also home to Huntington Park, which is the abode of beloved Columbus Clippers
  • The Short North Arts district features a diverse mix of galleries, boutiques, restaurants and bars. The first Saturday evening of every month proffers “gallery hop” and the art galleries and stores stay open till late. A number of galleries also feature food and music, and the walkways are creased with street performers, traders, and campaign booths. A nice gate-away for a fun filled evening!
  • Whetstone Park (also called Park of Roses) is one of the largest municipal rose gardens in the United States. The park covers an area of 13-acres, featuring more than 11,000 dazzling rose plants, dedicated gardens for herbs, perennials and daffodils. A nice place to take your old woman to.
  • The Jubilee Museum at Holy Family is a timeless preservation of Catholic Church art and traditions retrieved from individuals and churches and schools that have been closed. It also has a huge collection of Bibles from 1558 and on, pipe organs, oil paintings, historic vestments from the Holy Land and numerous other treasures pertaining to Catholicism.
