Activities and Attractions to do in Idaho

  • The International Selkirk Loop is a picturesque drive, looping around the Selkirk Mountain, passing through fascinating towns, preceding lakes and rivers. Enjoy a plethora of outdoor activities and attractions all along the course of the tour.
  • Sun Valley’s year-round outdoor fun-activities and the scenic mountain views are a do-not-miss while in Idaho. Enjoy cross-country skiing, ice skating, and snowmobiling during winter. Golf, hiking, fishing, mountain biking and river rafting along with other special event are other recreations at this place.
  • Lake Coeur d’Alene boasts of some picturesque forested shoreline, serene beaches, and an assortment of coves and bays. The portion of the city by this lake offers some great shopping experience with fantastic restaurants, unique lodging, and magnificent parks.
  • A trip along the Sawtooth Scenic Byway offers exquisite views of the Sawtooth Mountains. Sight-seeing on the route comes packed with a plethora of wildlife, rivers, streams, and lakes and canyons. Other attractions include the Mammoth Cave, Galena Summit, Sculptured Canyon and Redfish Lake.
  • The pleasant sunny weather and the picturesque scenery in Idaho provide a terrific golfing experience along with local attractions. The Idaho Golf Trail is the best in the state, and is segregated into four different loops with around three to four courses each.
  • Visit the Craters of the Moon visitor center, and learn about the lava landscape through displays and documentaries. A loop drive takes you across the national monument, offering views of lava cones, craters, and caves. Other activities include cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.
  • Main attractions at the Museum of Idaho are Eagle Rock and Race for Atomic Power. This museum also offers an ever-changing assortment of special displays based on the human body, dinosaurs, insects and the Lewis and Clark expedition.
  • Take a Snake River jet boat out of Lewiston or raft-float out of Riggins or Cambridge to the Hells Canyon which is the deepest river gorge in North America. You can also pick up a hiking trail, mountain bike, or horse ride to this place.
  • The Hagerman Fossil Beds National Monument is home to a major concentration of Hagerman Horse fossils. Stop by at the visitor center in the town of Hagerman. You can enjoy hiking, horse riding, fishing, boating and hunting within this national monument land.
  • The Julia Davis Park offers a whole lot of attractions and activities for tourists, including the Discovery Center, the Boise Art Museum, Zoo Boise and the Idaho State History Museum. There are also riverfront trails, a rose garden, a duck pond, and a children’s playground for amusement.
