  • Taste cheese in this Dairy capital. Fromagination, located on Capitol Square is a great artisan cheese shop producing different types of Wisconsin cheeses. The Carr Valley cheese store in Middleton is cow, goat, and sheep milk cheese-paradise.
  • Pay a visit to the Memorial Union on the campus of the University of Wisconsin and try some really smooth and creamy ice cream for lunch. Enjoy it on the terrace listening to the musicians there, and you are sure to have an unforgettable experience.
  • Buy stuff at the Dane County Farmer’s Market. It is supposedly the largest true farmer’s market in the country. Every product available in this market is produced in Wisconsin itself. Visit on Saturdays.
  • Take a trip of the Villas Zoo. With nice exhibits in green surroundings and a lot of wildlife to witness; you can spend a few hours or even a day here. And what more amazing is the fact that it’s absolutely free!
  • Visit the UW Arboretum. A natural diversity of green meadows, swamps, plantations, and of course all the fauna makes this establishment quite alluring— One of the coolest venues for hiking, biking and exploring nature!
  • Pedal your way around Madison which is a very bike-friendly city. A bike trail arrangement connects all parts of the city. Several local vendors proffer bicycle rentals to help you out when your old legs are too tired to walk another mile.
